Bhalchandra Shah, the Managing Trustee of the Sarjan Foundation, has a 44 years’ (42 in High Court + 2 in District Court) standing at the bar. He was on the panel of lawyers of the State and Central Governments, Public Sector Undertakings and Corporate houses and he has represented the state and other authorities before the Commission of Enquiries. From 1998 onwards he has been devoting all his time to the social work. Even while in profession he, along with the other colleagues, has set up Educational Institutions like Gujarati Medium Schools from K. G.  to Std. 12,  English Medium School from K. G. to Std. 9 and an Industrial Training Institute under the aegis of Prantij Kelavani Mandal (PKM) at Prantij. In the field of health and hygiene, the very same group of persons has set up Shreyas Trust that runs a 50 bed hospital known as M C Desai & N M Dalal General Hospital. He is also on the board of trustees/governing board of the other  trusts like Ahmedabad Education Society, Sheth Sarabhai Maganbhai Trust Fund, Vasumati Charity Trust, Shroff Foundation Trust etc.

Vasuben Shah, the Settler of the Sarjan Foundation, has a 40 years’ standing at the bar in the High Court of Gujarat.  She has briefly served as a School Teacher and a Lecturer in a College before joining the legal profession. While in active practice, she, with other colleagues, set up public Charities known as  ‘Swashray’ and ‘Friends of the Hospital Society’. She had been a regular visitor to Municipal Hospitals over a period. She has helped several women in making their livelihood by preparing and marketing diverse food items and embroidery work.  While on the peak of her career in the legal profession, she gave up the profession. She is a Chairperson, Visalpur Kelavani Mandal and has been on the Board of trustees of PKM and the Shreyas Trust since 1978. She is also a member of the Inner Wheel of Ahmedabad South , District 305. Thus, she has a varied experience in the field of education, health and hygiene and the economic empowerment of women.

Mukund Desai has a vast experience of administration in the Drugs and Cosmetics department of the States of Saurastra, Bombay and Gujarat.  He took a voluntary retirement while occupying a class I officer’s position of a Deputy Director.  He is the founder trustee/member of the Sarjan Foundation, Prantij Kelavani Mandal, Shreyas trusts and Prantij Dasha Shrimali Vanik Gnyati Mandal and is on the Board of Directors of Shaival group of Companies.

Shailesh Patwari,  a Chartered Accountant turned Industrialist has set up Dyes, Chemicals and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Units namely Shree Krishna Dyestuffs Mfg. Co., Radha Chemicals, Nexus Pharma Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Nexus Infratec Pvt. Ltd., and Chandan Intermediates and Chemicals. He is the chairperson of Naroda Enviro Projects Ltd.  that has set up a common effluent treatment plant CETP) for the Chemical units operating in Naroda GIDC Industrial Estate. This CETP has won several National and International Awards for clean technology. He is a member of the executive committee of the Naroda Industrial Association, Gujarat Dyestuff Manufacturers’ Association, Gujarat Chamber of Commerce, Prantij  Kelavani Mandal and actively associated with many social organizations.
